Dr. Carol A. Sutherland is an Extension Entomologist at New Mexico State University and also State Entomologist for New Mexico Department of Agriculture. Annually, Carol makes numerous presentations on basic and applied entomology statewide to New Mexico's Master Gardener classes, Pesticide Applicator Workshops, commodity groups and other audiences and events around the state. She identifies insects and their relatives for County Extension Agents, farmers, ranchers, pest control operators, colleagues and the general public. She also leads entomology activities involving New Mexico's Future Farmers of America, 4H and 'Kids, Kows and More' events. A graduate of Oregon State University's Entomology Department, Carol has been with NMSU since 1980.
